Today we will visit the glow worm cave in Te Anau $56
Te Anau Glowworm Cave is located at Fiordland National Park. The cave is 12,000 years old and it considered as young cave.
Because photography is not allowed in some part of the cave,so...just can take some of them
Entry of cave
Water fall
Because of the acidic of the water, it will form tunnel and the cave is still getting bigger and bigger.
This is what I see in the cave, the glow worm and their nest
On the half way, we will sit a small boat and enjoy the lights of glowworm.
Just like seeing stars in a very dark place.
We need to keep silent and photography is prohibited.
Do you know:
1. Glow worm only feed in the early stage of its life cycle. Adult glowworm don't have mouth to eat.
2. If food not enough, they may feed on each other.
3. If glowworm getting more hungry, its light getting lighter.
Outside the cave

The beach
Comment: $56 is quite expensive for me to visit the cave. But don't worry u can see a lot of glowworm on the boat. There are 2 parts of the visit. The 1st part is entering the cave and see the glow worm and 2nd part is video and explanation about the glowworm. It cost another $40 for the video if u wish to have it. Everything need money huh.
After this, we walk around the town and take some photos of the lake.
It is a quiet town with only thousand population.
Breakfast: Bacon bread + oat
Dinner: Rice with fish with mince $4.7
At night, if u walk along in Te Anau, just lift up your head to see the sky,
if it is not cloudy, you will be surprised!
It is full with stars! It was beautiful!
