2nd week in NZ

2nd week is my working week.  T.T
Therefore, I need to attach to the community pharmacy here to work for 60 hours.

Monday
My 1st placement is in Unichem Gardens Pharmacy. It is just beside the botanical garden, quite near for me, just a 10 minutes walk. My supervisor here is Mrs. Laurel which is a Malaysian as well. It is a busy day for me. So what am I doing here is same with the pharmacists' role here like Dispensing, compounding, packaging, documentation and delivering as well. In the end of the day, I had the chance to deliver the medication to Ross Home in Dunedin and community here.
Lunch: Sandwich prepared by my flatmate- Nathan (FOC) XD
Dinner: Indian Curry rice $5.40

Tuesday
I need to rotate 4 pharmacy owned by a Malaysian, and today I'm working in North Dunedin Pharmacy. It is also just 10 minutes walk from my flat.My supervisor today is Stella from Malaysia and an intern pharmacist here,Ben from Sabah. Quite 'eng' today, so today I read the New Zealand Pharmacy log book to know their law, requirement for pharmacist, the management and etc.
Lunch: Mei Wah chicken fried rice $5.90
Dinner: Chopstick 5 spice beef rice $11

Wednesday
Today I need to go to South Dunedin Pharmacy which is very far from my house. They arrange Steve, my supervisor of this pharmacy to fetch me there. He is a Korean and he seems nice. He had suggested me to visit some places which are beautiful and valuable to visit. Intern pharmacist here, Alicia from Sarawak quite pretty and she ask me about the opinion to go back working in Malaysia.
Lunch today: flat bread $3
Dinner: Fish Masala rice in Indian garden $15.50

Thursday
My pharmacy to day is Amcal which is located at Octagon. It is quite far from my house, 25 minutes walk. Manager here is absent today and James, pharmacist here will look after me. First time working with ang mo. Luckily, I can understand his English. hehe.
Lunch: Sushi rice ball with tuna $3.50
Dinner: Indo mee (save $ mar)

Friday
And I work back in Garden today. Last day working in Dunedin is nice, have a free pie sponsor by my supervisor which it is highly recommended by her. the beef pie really taste good. In the evening doing delivering service with Charity,a Singaporean and finally I have the chance to ask her opinion about pharmacist here and her future plan in NZ.
Lunch: a pie $4 and Latte $4
Dinner: Indo mee (save $ mar)

Conclusion:
1. Pharmacy here is much different from Malaysia's pharmacy because there is no packaging and compounding in community pharmacy Malaysia. Seldom pharmacy in Malaysia has dangerous drug like morphine, codeine and psychotic drugs.
2. There is no methadone treatment in community pharmacy Malaysia
3. Works more than talks in NZ, while talks more than works in Mas. Talks here means pharmacy using his knowledge to persuade customers to buy supplement and drugs.
4. They seldom push to sell supplements.
5. There are a lot of Sarawakian among the Malaysian. People in Sarawak and Sabah are richer? haha
6. Most of them (not JPA or college) get the residence here, then only come here to study and stay here forever.
7. Community pharmacy is quite boring for me!haha
8. Specialist and pharmacist have the dispensing right only. Medicine and OTC need prescription here.

Saturday
Finally it is Saturday! My REST day! yahoo!
However, I still manage to wake up 8am in the morning to visit the small market in front railway station  in Dunedin.

It is a rainy day, it is colder and windy. sob sob =(
Breakfast today: European cheese bacon $5

Nothing much special tonight as today is my best time to rest to travel further
